The massage therapy profession in Washington State is expanding rapidly, and concerns regarding ethical behavior and practice are increasing along with it. Given the intimate setting of bodywork, clarity, communication, professionalism, and boundaries are crucial to establishing and maintaining a safe environment between client and massage therapist. Therapists must be able to effectively communicate with the variety of personalities of clients, while not sacrificing the unique style each massage therapist brings to the profession of bodywork.

In this dynamic workshop, taught by an instructor who has been actively practicing since 2000, we will:

  • Explore real world, applicable scenarios and situations while defining the broad scope of ethics.
  • Outline Washington State laws regarding massage therapy and how they apply to your practice.
  • Empower each therapist with the tools to recognize the importance and efficacy of our own personal communication styles.
  • Fulfill WA State's biennial 4-hour CE requirement for LMPs in professional ethics, communication and/or Washington State massage laws and regulations.
