  • Are you concerned about the ingredients in commercial skincare products?
  • Let us show you how to create products free from petrochemicals, mineral oils, petroleum derived ingredients, silicones, preservatives, synthetic fragrances and parabens.

In this introductory class, Michele Curtis - Herbalist and Massage Therapist and Karen Grady - Aroma Touch Practitioner will present a variety of eco-friendly skincare solutions to address both the face and body. They will explain the origins and benefits of carrier oils and how they are beneficial for skin in the long term. They will also present and discuss a set of key essential oils and herbs that help recover damaged skin, protect skin against aging and rejuvenate cells. These products are as safe and effective as medicinal alternatives. This class will give you a better understanding about how to talk to your clients about their skin and to help them evaluate products they are currently using. Earth friendly skin is about education, knowledge and support.

They will teach you how to handcraft two custom massage/body oils with herbs and essential oils and an herbal facial masque. They will demonstrate how to make these in your own kitchen. These products can be made unscented and for sensitive skin. Please note: this class will use essential oils. You will take home and enjoy the products you formulate in class.

Please bring extra rags or towels and an apron, light snack and water.
Please be hydrated and eat healthfully the night before.
Looking forward to exploring, laughing, learning and sharing our knowledge with you.
